Do your little bit of good where you are and how you can. It really makes a difference!
Camelia Deaconu Fundația HOSPICE Casa Speranței
Well, here I am again, running the Bucharest Half Marathon on May 12th!
I have to admit that the marathon bug has got me and I am once again privileged to be running for Hospice Casa Sperantei, a truly remarkable charity very close to my heart.
When my dad was diagnosed with cancer, I felt so helpless. Watching someone you love suffer cuts you into a million pieces and it takes everything out of you. This cancer journey is a tough one and I pray that you and your loved ones never have to go through it.
However, this experience taught me so much about the fragility of life. Since then, I made a promise to myself to appreciate life, to take care of my health and to stay strong for those who need help.
For 27 years, Hospice Casa Sperantei is restoring value to every moment of life. They are offering free and unconditional care to children and adults facing terminal illness in Romania.
If you also think that no person facing terminal illness should stand alone, then donate to this amazing charity and let’s make every second of life count.
Or, why not sign up yourself for the half marathon, join Hospice team and raise valuable funds in the process. Do something amazing and be the difference!
A heartfelt thanks to you
